Rick Costantini focuses his legal practice in the areas of real estate, land use, zoning, corporate and litigation matters. He has represented municipal clients on a variety of land use and zoning matters, including administrative appeals of zoning board decisions as well as presenting opposition to affordable housing applications. He also assisted in the creation of a re-development agency that enhanced, assisted, and encouraged economic development for a municipal client through the acquisition and re-marketing of delinquent, abandoned and blighted properties. He successfully acquired environmentally contaminated properties through the municipal tax foreclosure process to allow the re-development agency to remediate and re-develop the properties.
Ricks practice has also included the representation of financial institutions throughout all stages of the foreclosure process. He has counseled clients on the formation of 501(c)(3) organizations, the revision of corporate by-laws, as well as negotiated the terms of separation agreements and severance packages for employees. He has successfully negotiated the settlement of various personal injury actions in addition to settling an action against an elderly client for the cost of nursing home care provided to his wife.
Rick is active in his community currently serving as Majority Leader on the Trumbull Town Council. He has previously taught courses in Entrepreneurship and Introduction to Business Law at Housatonic Community College.
