An accomplished trial attorney, Greg Gagne is a partner in the Firm’s Litigation, Insurance and Military Defense Practice Groups. His practice encompasses a broad range of areas, including civil and criminal litigation, personal injury and dram shop law. He resolves disputed matters for clients both pursuing or defending a wide variety of claims. Greg has tried over 200 cases to verdict in state and federal courts and has handled numerous federal administrative proceedings. In addition to handling trial work, he regularly handles military appeals. Greg has also defended military pilots and medical personnel in hearings related to their professional credentials.
As a former member of the JAG Corps and through his affiliations with Gagne, Scherer & Associates, Greg represents military members from all branches of the armed forces in various actions ranging from felony-level court martial trials to nonjudicial punishment and administrative actions. He has represented clients throughout the United States, as well as Europe, Asia and the Middle East. During his time as a member of the Air Force JAG Corps, Greg received the highest accolades from his clients and his superiors. He was selected to serve as one of two supervisory prosecutors with responsibility for Europe and the Middle East, but chose instead to return to civilian life and continue to defend military members who were accused of military offenses.
A Connecticut resident, Greg is fully engaged and invested in initiatives that strengthen our region. He received his BA from Trinity College in 1998, where he was co-captain of the Bantams Football team, and his JD from the University of Connecticut School of Law. He serves on the board of the Connecticut Veterans Legal Center, and resides in Greater Waterbury.
